This hired candidate previously worked as a Business Development Manager, an Eastern Sales Manager, and Regional Sales Manager in a variety of industries. He also Owned and Operated his own small business venture. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from a Canadian University and is bilingual in both French and English.


:: Candidate Comments ::

The whole process went very fast. I had two job offers from other companies when my consultant reviewed my resume and sent it to her client. The client already had three other candidates on their short-list. I went for my first interview and it went really well. There was also a second interview with a Sales Manager in Montreal. At this point, it was between me and one other candidate.

The client wanted someone who could sell into Ottawa, and my primary language is English which gave me an advantage over the other candidate. I pushed and my consultant pushed, and I got the job. It was the one I wanted most of the three offers as the company culture really appealed to me.

I made a large commission sale on the first day and things have been great since then. I'm very appreciative to my consultant for her help, and will call her soon to thank her again.

:: Overview ::

Our client is searching for a dynamic sales representative for the Ottawa region, who will greatly contribute to the development and expansion of this rapidly growing company.


:: Our Client ::

Our client operates in the field of distribution and sale of propane appliances and equipment. They also provide installation and services to the residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and propane fuelling sectors.


:: What You Will Do ::

  • Present and sell the company’s products and services to current and potential clients;
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made;
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity;
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts;
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts;
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships;
  • Identify and resolve client concerns;
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up and adherence to goals;
  • Other duties as assigned.


:: What You Will Bring ::

  • 3-5 years relevant experience;
  • Excellent knowledge of the heating industry;
  • Bilingualism;
  • Ability to hit the ground running;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Good computer skills;
  • Have a valid driver’s license.
