Our client is seeking a full time IT Technician who will provide on-site support of client computer systems. This is an exciting entry level position for someone looking to grow within the right organization.
:: Our Client ::
Our client produces, transforms and markets packaging products, tissue papers and fine papers.
:: What You Will Do ::
-
Under supervision of senior IT staff, installs, maintains, troubleshoots and upgrades computer hardware, software, personal computer networks, printers and trains users in effective use of applications/software.

Prepares documentation and provides user assistance to clients via phone when required.

Performs IT related work as required.
:: What You Will Bring ::

Minimum one year experience in an IT position.

A 2-year College Diploma in the field of information technology or equivalent.

Required: Microsoft Operating Systems: 2000, XP, Microsoft Office: 2000, XP, 2003

Asset: Networking: TCP/IP, Microsoft Servers: 2000 & 2003, GroupWise, VPN/Remote Access,

A+ certification

Knowledge of computer assembly and working with computer hardware, software and peripherals such as central processing units, monitors, cables, network systems, printers (inkjet & laser) and modems;

Knowledge of installing, configuring, upgrading, troubleshooting and repairing applicable software, hardware and peripherals;

The ideal candidate should possess the ability and confidence to train end users on using hardware and applicable software and the ability to explain technical concepts and procedures to non-technical users.

Good command (written and oral) of the English language is a key requirement. Bilingual is an asset.

This position could include the provision of prompt and effective problem-solving and troubleshooting to users based out of the Toronto location when system failures or dysfunctions occur.

The ideal candidate must possess and maintain a valid Ontario G driver’s license and a clean driving record.
