:: Overview ::

Our client is looking for a Sales Forecasting and Planning Coordinator. You will develop, manage, and continuously improve the sales demand planning function and will provide analytics to support sales planning and reporting, identify sales opportunities and improve sales processes. Though you will be reporting to Sales, you will also work with Production Planning and Finance in carrying out day-to-day duties.

:: What You Will Do ::

  • Our client is looking for someone with hands-on forecasting experience and analytical skills who can help them address current forecasting issues, but more importantly participate in the development of future processes.
  • Be comfortable working with information from a variety of sources.
  • 60% forecasting, 40% planning.
  • Manage sales forecasts using historical data, retail feature schedules, purchase orders, demand information and by interacting with Sales Team Members.
  • Develop processes and procedures to support the forecasting and planning functions.
  • Work with Production Planning to ensure high customer fill rates and prevent non-compliance charges from customers.
  • Manage and maintain the annual sales budget process and business planning templates.
  • Develop and maintain all key customer business reviews, templates, and business development proposals throughout Canada.
  • Provide analysis of key category information for both internal planning and for customer presentations.
  • Analyze key sales trends and communicate areas of opportunity to sales team.
  • Produce and submit sales forecast for high volume and seasonal products throughout Canada.
  • Provide accurate weekly tracking of sales by class of trade and key customer for Canada.
  • Provide accurate tracking of weekly raw material markets for sales presentation utilization.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the evolutionary stages of our new corporate web site.
  • Provide weekly tracking and support with the goal of clearing up outstanding receivables, deductions and other customer claims.


:: What You Will Bring ::

  • 5 years in a similar role (supporting Sales and Key Account Managers), food industry experience a must.
  • Understands category management.
  • Prior sales experience is a definite asset.
  • College or University degree.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in sales forecasting.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills. Mathematically inclined. Attention to detail.
  • Team Player.
