Our client is looking for a Coordinator Academic Advisement who will take a leadership role in providing support services to students in the program of professional studies, specifically in the areas of counseling, appeals, exam reviews and practical experience assessments. In addition, this role takes a proactive approach to recommending changes to improve service levels and student success.

:: What You Will Do ::

Maintains and supports academic performance review requirements and program phase outs

Works with internal and external stakeholders to identify information needs, policy program changes and program implementation issues

Monitors incomplete finalists and coordinates administrative support including fees, correspondence, withdrawal from program
-
Provides guidance and information on course selection, program planning within time limits, association regulations and policies.

Oversees experience requirement activities and provides advice on experience requirement policies and procedures.

Co-ordinates field reviews of students who are self-employed and/or have special circumstances
-
Provides support to the board committees by planning meetings, preparing agendas, taking and distributing minutes, and preparing board reports
-
Coordinates exam reviews by recruiting and orienting members for exam review subcommittees; coordinating all committee activities; and ensuring adherence to all critical due dates and related administrative controls
:: What You Will Bring ::

Minimum of a Universtiy degree is required
-
3 - 5 years of work experience in a business educational environment
-
Sound knowledge of the Ontario academic system and other professional programs an assets
-
Experience dealing with outside stakeholders involving Board Committees and communicating Policies and Procedures

Proficiency in Office software and internet applications and experience using databases
