:: Overview ::

Our client is looking for a Director of Medical Affairs who will focus on supporting the business goals and objectives of several business units including but not limited to the LSD and Renal Business Units. You will have extensive interaction with Marketing, Reimbursement, and Regulatory. Additionally, the ideal candidate will interface regularly with Global Medical Programs and Global BMRA, in addition to Medical Directors in other countries.

:: What You Will Do ::

  • Define and drive specific projects related to medical marketing strategy.
  • Act as Medical Advisor in the creation of educational and promotional material
  • Advise and support the development of economic arguments to support product reimbursement and access.
  • Develop and execute training curricula, and, in discussions with global, will represent the business units in discussion concerning phase 4 design and site selection, publication planning, and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) development and management programs.


:: What You Will Bring ::

  • An MD degree with a minimum of 3 years’ pharmaceutical medical marketing and/or medical advisor experience.
  • Business experience and/or MBA is a plus.
  • All medical specialties will be considered, with a particular emphasis on genetics, nephrology, internal medicine, neurology, and cardiology.
  • An established network and relationships with medical and reimbursement professionals in Canada.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and will be required to give frequent oral and written presentations to various groups (internal and external) on the medical and clinical aspects of a given product or program.
  • Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment, is a critical thinker, organized, and able to focus on project details.
  • Be highly independent, confident, and personable; and able to create productive working relationships with global, regional and local customers and colleagues.
