:: Overview ::
Reporting to the Supply Finance Director, Distillation and Canadian Manufacturing, the successful candidate will have 5-7 years of accounting and financial analysis experience in manufacturing environment. The main function of this position will be to provide financial planning, analysis, reporting, support and leadership for the two conversion facilities. Lead the preparation of the annual operational and overhead budget.

:: What You Will Do ::

Financial Responsibility
-
Monitor the financial performance of the plant and help produce at the lowest possible cost.
-
Manage a combined operating budget of approx $36M.
-
Reprocess versus destruction, or warehouse utilization / direct shipment, decisions are taken based on sound cost benefit analysis
-
Various decisions are taken or recommended to develop aggressive budget allocations to the various cost centers and establish effective labor cost standards
-
Decisions are taken during year to meet financial commitments with changing business environment.

Reconcile inventory accounts monthly.
-
Provide monthly financial and operational performance reports, KPI scorecards, and variance analysis to the plant management as well divisional staff.

Organize and complete the month end financial closing activities.

Develop annual operating budget and quarterly LE forecasts and identify risks/opportunities.

Provide cost analysis and financial system support.
-
Manage the accuracy and data integrity of the Balance sheet and P & L. Ensures that financial control process is of the highest standards.

Administer the annual operating budget by providing accurate and timely financial reporting as well as supporting cost center managers with sound analysis.

Ensure management team complies with Diageo’s internal control standards and CARM requirements.

Ensure the ability to connect transactional details to decision support required to drive plant cost per case performance.

Develop annual operating budget, labor standards and update risk and opportunity estimates monthly
-
Hold financial review meetings with the cost center managers and generate new cost savings ideas. Also, follow through with the action plan for implementing cost savings projects and actual savings realized.

Lead the plant team for accurate and timely monthly financial close, KPI and BPM reporting. All inventory accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis.

Manage all internal and external audit relationships.

Management Responsibility

Provides leadership to direct reports (2 Cost Analysts, 1 Finance Manager, 1 Union) and Peers.

On-site finance leader and a member of the leadership team supporting the Plant Director and Department Managers.

Reports to the Supply Finance Director Distillation and Canadian Manufacturing located in Toronto, Ontario.
:: What You Will Bring ::
-
5-7 years of accounting and financial analysis experience in manufacturing environment.
-
MBA or Professional accounting designation preferred.
-
3-5 years of managerial experience.
-
SAP system knowledge preferred.
-
Computer literate; MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel (advanced). Advanced data management (spreadsheet) and query skills a must.

Excellent communication skills and attention to details.
-
Strong analytical and budgeting skills.
-
Demonstrated ability to make decisions and work with limited supervision.

Languages: French & English (fully functional in both languages).
-
Proven leadership and employee engagement skills.

Project management skills.
-
High level of regulatory technical expertise.
