:: Aperçu ::
Reporting to the VP Construction, the District Manager is to carry out the mission, plans and initiatives as set out by the board of directors and management in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the Company’s strategic plan. The District Manager provides the overall leadership, motivation and management, at the district level, of the four (4) main functions of the Company: (a) Operations, (b) Estimating, (c) Sales and (d) Administration. Management is defined as the planning, direction, supervision and coordination of all aspects of the construction function, as well as providing administrative and technical direction necessary to sustain the company's growth and profitability objectives for all projects undertaken by our Client.

Our Client has been offering complete professional construction services for over 20 years. A non-union construction management, design-build and general contracting firm, our Client operates in the fields of commercial, institutional, industrial and civil work construction and renovation.
:: Vos responsabilités ::

Build, lead and deploy the team with the goal of achieving the objectives of our Client’s strategic plan.
-
Build and manage relationships with partners, team members and customers.
-
Lead business development and construction activities within their district.
-
Support Project Managers in resolving problems with clients, sub-trades and consultants.
-
Oversee project delivery quality and efficiency within their district.
-
Promote and enforce company policies.
-
Submit bids.
-
Recommend tendering strategies.
-
Employee management: hire, dismiss, train, promote, demote, and discipline staff.

Strategic and organizational planning.
-
Project Management.
-
Estimating and client proposals.
-
General administration.
-
Safety,
-
Sales and business development.
-
At times attending seminars and trade shows.
:: Qualifications & Compétences ::
-
Professional designation is preferred, however a Construction Technician Degree from an accredited College or University will be considered.
-
Minimum ten (10) years experience in the Construction Industry in a management position or in a senior role of Construction Manager, Project Manager, Construction Estimator, or Business Development Representative.

Sales, management and accounting experience an asset.
-
Familiarity with terminology utilized in the Construction Industry.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, drawings, technical journals, plans, drawings, specifications and legal documents.

Ability to make effective presentations to potential customers.
-
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
-
Familiarity with computers including emails, spreadsheets, project scheduling software.

Totally bilingual – French and English.
